General FAQ
How do event boosts work?
If you are running a major card show, regional, or high-capacity tournament, you can opt to boost individual events for a small one-off fee — £2 for 1 week or £3.50 for 2 weeks. Boosted events are pinned to the top of regional search results and featured in rotation on the homepage banner to maximize your ticket sales and player turnout.

Event registration cancellation
Free events can be unregistered from at any time by the attendee.
Side Deck-hosted paid events. On the rare occasion Side Deck itself hosts and runs an event directly (marked as such on the event listing), that registration is eligible for cancellation by the attendee up to 28 days before the event date. After that point, the listing is locked in and cancellation is no longer available.
Independent third-party organizer events. The vast majority of events on Side Deck, including those from local partner stores and other independent third-party organizers, are listed by their own organizer, not run by Side Deck. For these, Side Deck acts purely as a listing and scheduling platform — entry fees, ticket terms, and cancellations are handled directly by the individual organizer, and Side Deck holds no responsibility for their refunds or schedule changes. If an organizer cancels their event, you can unregister at any time regardless of the date, since that isn't on you.
Refund policy
This policy covers refunds for Side Deck's own subscription plans and boosts. It does not cover entry fees for events listed on the site by independent third-party organizers — see the cancellation policy above for how those work.
Refunds for your Side Deck subscription (Pro plan) or a paid event boost are handled by Side Deck directly. Contact us via our Contact page if something's gone wrong with a charge.
Privacy policy
We collect the account details you give us, including your name, email address, and the events you register for, to run your account and let organizers manage their attendee lists. We don't run third-party ad tracking, and we don't process or store any payment card data ourselves.
Terms of service
Side Deck is operated by Imperatus Games. Side Deck itself is primarily a listing and scheduling tool. For events listed by independent third-party organizers, that organizer is responsible for their own event, including its content and any entry fees, which are handled directly by them rather than through Side Deck. The exception is events explicitly marked as Side-Deck-hosted, which Side Deck runs and processes payment for directly. Accounts may hold different roles (player, planner, admin) with different capabilities, and we expect all users to use the platform in good faith.
